Hit 500 hours on a single set of injectors in a 6.7 Powerstroke and I'm still not sure if that's good or bad

I pulled them from a 2015 F-250 that does mostly highway hauling, and the owner swears he's never used any additives. Some guys at the shop in Boise say that's a solid run and shows good maintenance, but others argue anything under 750 hours means the fuel system wasn't protected enough. What's your benchmark for injector life on these newer common rails?

Buddy of mine got 800 hours from his stock injectors.

My cousin's old truck made it 750 hours on the originals.

Wow, 800 hours is wild luck. Most guys I know are sweating it by 500 if they're running any kind of decent power. Fuel quality these days just beats them up way faster than those old stories.
