I finally stopped fighting with my fuel filter wrench

Used to swear by the strap wrench for spin-on filters, then last spring I did a job on a 2015 Freightliner in Tulsa and the damn thing slipped three times, took 40 minutes. Now I use a socket-style filter wrench with a breaker bar and it pops off in 5 minutes flat. Anyone else switch tools after one bad day and never look back?

You ever hear about those guys who weld a nut onto a stuck filter? I saw a video of it once, seems crazy but kind of genius.
