My injector puller snapped on a Cummins ISX yesterday and I'm still cussing about it

Was doing a 6 injector job on a 2014 ISX with 800k miles. Got to injector 5 and the puller just sheared off clean. That cheap Amazon special I've been using for 2 years finally gave up. Had to drill out the broken threads and use a slide hammer setup from the Snap-On truck. Cost me $180 for the emergency replacement and lost half a day. What pullers do you guys trust for these high-mileage engines? The Amazon ones are tempting but I'm done with that gamble.

Honestly, did you try heating the block around that injector before you pulled it? I had a similar mess on a 6.7 Powerstroke where the puller threads stripped out on number 3 cylinder. Ended up using a torch and some Kroil, let it soak for an hour, and it came out smooth after that. The cheap tools are a gamble for sure but sometimes it's the rust or carbon locking things up, not the puller itself.

Heated mine red, soaked it in PB, and it twisted right out.

I heard a guy on a Cummins forum got his out with a map gas torch and a breaker bar after three days of PB soaking.
