Rant: Tried those budget injector nozzles from eBay on my 7.3 and now I swear every startup sounds like a box of rocks

Bought a set of four reman injectors off eBay for $180 flat to save on a F250 build in Phoenix last month, and after two weeks of runs fine then rough idle and now a knock at cold start, has anyone actually had luck with cheap nozzles or am I just stuck pulling the valve covers again?

Did you actually test the pop pressure on those before you threw them in, or did you just assume eBay injectors are magic?

Man, I learned this the hard way on my 7.3. Bought a set of reman injectors off eBay and threw them in without checking pop pressure. Ended up with a dead miss at idle and had to pull them all back out to send to a shop. @carter.laura is right, you need to at least check them with a pop tester before install. On these HEUI injectors, if one is off by more than 50 psi from the others, you'll get a lope that won't tune out. Takes a half hour to check all eight if you have a tester.
