Shoutout to the foreman who let me screw up a $400 injector install
Last Tuesday up in Spokane, I was swapping injectors on a Cummins ISX and I got the torque sequence wrong on number 5. My foreman just stood there, let me finish, then pointed at the smoke coming from the seal. He said "You gotta feel it bind before it gives out, not after." Instead of chewing me out, he made me redo all six with him watching. Anyone else have a boss who taught you more by letting you fail first?

Felt that one in my wallet just reading it. I toasted a $350 MAF sensor learning a hard lesson about not cleaning it right.
