Swapped a reman injector for a used one on a job site in Phoenix to save the customer $400

Customer wanted the cheap route on his 6.0 Powerstroke, so I put in a pulled injector from a parted-out truck and it actually ran fine for 8 months until he traded it in, has anyone else had luck with used injectors or is this just a ticking time bomb?

Did you at least give that injector a proper burial" - come on, it's an injector, not a family pet. It did its job for 8 months with zero issues, that's a win in my book for a part that cost like $80 instead of $500+. Used injectors are a gamble sure, but sometimes the gamble pays off way better than dropping cash on a reman that could crap out just as fast.

Did you at least give that injector a proper burial after 8 months of faithful service?

Yeah @grantp28 is right, way cheaper than a reman and it worked out, kinda like gambling on a questionable 50/50 candy bag at the gas station.
