That $350 cylinder head pressure test rig I bought off Craigslist

I mean, hot shot that thing was supposed to save me time on 6.0 Powerstroke heads, but the gauge was off by 15 psi and I flagged two good heads as bad in Topeka last month. Customer got mad when I told him his head was cracked, then he took it to another shop and they ran it fine. Anyone else ever get burned by used test equipment, or do I just need to stop cheaping out?

Heard a guy on a podcast say never trust a gauge that ain't been calibrated recently.
