Took a gamble on a no-name injector puller at a flea market outside Tulsa

I found this beat up puller for 15 bucks at a swap meet near the river. Guy said it came off an old farm truck. Used it yesterday on a 6.0 Powerstroke that was siezed up. Worked just as good as my Snap-on one. Cheap tools can be a total waste but sometimes you hit gold. Has anyone else found a solid tool at a random yard sale or flea market?

and that's exactly what I was getting at with my first reply, I saw a video on YouTube where a guy snapped a cheap puller like this on a Ford 6.4 and the bolt hole threads came out with it. Total nightmare scenario, you know? I get that sometimes you score big on flea market finds but a seized 6.0 is no joke, that engine can put some serious torque on things. For fifteen bucks the risk of it being soft metal or a casting flaw is just too high for me. I'd rather spend the extra cash on a tool that won't leave me with a helicoil repair in a tight spot.

You really trust a ratty flea market puller on a seized 6.0? That's like using a bent paperclip to disarm a bomb. For 15 bucks I'd be more worried it would snap or twist the bolts off and turn a simple job into a nightmare.
