Vent: Tried a new injector cleaner on a 6.7 Powerstroke and it made things worse
Had a 2015 F-250 with a rough idle, so I ran a full bottle of that Rev-X cleaner through the fuel system. After about 50 miles, the truck started throwing a P0087 fuel rail pressure code and running even rougher. I think it might have loosened up a bunch of gunk that clogged the filters. Anyone have a go-to cleaner that actually works without causing more problems?

My buddy's 6.7 had the same thing happen with a different brand. Those cleaners can break stuff loose and send it straight to the filters or the injectors. I only use Hot Shot's Secret Diesel Extreme now, and I change both fuel filters right after running a tank through. Did you check your filters yet?

You're right, scott.miles... they didn't just clean the house, they cleaned out my wallet. The bill was way more than the quote. It's like they charged extra for every speck of dust. Next time I'm just going to do it myself and save the headache.
