Hit 250 pieces in my portfolio and it hit different than expected
I've been posting my digital art for about 2 years now. Yesterday I counted my gallery and realized I hit 250 finished pieces. I thought reaching a round number like that would feel like a big deal, but it actually made me notice how many of those early pieces I would never share now. The styles changed so much from piece 12 to piece 145. Anyone else get that weird feeling when you look back at your own milestone count and it feels less like success and more like a time capsule?
Is it weird that I almost feel embarrassed by my old stuff even though it got me to where I am now? I had this same moment with my baking blog, I hit 100 recipes and thought I'd be pumped, but instead I spent two hours cringing at a photo of a lopsided cake from recipe 15. The frosting was melting and I used way too much food coloring, it looked radioactive. But then I got to recipe 88 and saw where I finally figured out piping, and that made the whole 250 count feel like a map of all my mistakes and fixes. It's less of a trophy and more of a diary you can't throw away. Still, I bet piece 251 is gonna feel way better than 250 did.
