I keep seeing people post art with the canvas size set way too small, like 800x600 pixels, and then wonder why it looks bad printed.
I saw a post yesterday where someone was upset their piece looked blurry on a t-shirt. The file was 1000 pixels wide. That's fine for a phone screen, but you need at least 3000 pixels on the long side for decent print quality, even for something small. It's a basic thing, but so many new artists skip it. What's a good rule you follow for setting up your canvas from the start?
