My friend who works at Adobe just told me most digital artists don't set their canvas resolution high enough for print

She showed me a file she got from a client that was only 150 DPI and said it's super common - anyone else ever submit work to a printer only to have it come back blurry or pixelated?

Wait what's the proper DPI for print then? I've been using 300 but some people say 600 is better for art prints.

Heard a thing once from a guy who does high end museum prints... he said 300 is fine for most stuff, 600 is overkill unless you're printing something massive and people are gonna stick their nose right up to it.

Wait wouldn't 600 just be overkill for anything smaller than like a billboard? I've heard the human eye literally can't tell the difference past 300 on normal sized prints anyway.
