Spent $60 on a cheap drawing tablet and it broke in 3 months

I wanted to try digital art without dropping big money, so I grabbed a no-name tablet off Amazon for $60. Worked fine at first, but after 3 months the pen stopped registering pressure and the surface got all scratched up. Now I'm shopping for a real Wacom and wishing I just saved up from the start. Anyone else learn this lesson the hard way or find a budget brand that actually lasted?

Wishing I just saved up from the start" is basically my wallet's life story. I once bought a $40 tablet that died so fast I'm pretty sure it was just a drawing pad cosplaying as electronics. Now I'm stuck on my third Wacom because apparently learning the hard way is my main hobby.

it was just a drawing pad cosplaying as electronics" - that's perfect lol. For real though, next time grab a used Wacom Intuos from eBay, you can get them for around $50-60 and they'll last you years compared to those knockoffs.

Third Wacom, huh? Sounds like you're collecting them at this point. Maybe next time just tape a piece of paper to your monitor and call it a day, same results as those fake tablets anyway. At least with Wacom you get the satisfaction of watching your money slowly depreciate instead of it just vanishing overnight like the knockoffs.
