Spent $80 on a Wacom stylus replacement that felt like a scam

My old stylus nib wore down to nothing after six months of daily drawing. Bought a 4-pack of official Wacom nibs for $15 off Amazon and they didn't even fit right. Anyone else get burned by knockoff accessories that look identical on the listing?

You know, I used to be one of those people who thought 'eh, it's just a nib, how different can it be?' Boy was I wrong. @the_anthony your tape trick is honestly genius, I wish I'd thought of that before I just threw mine in a drawer out of frustration. The knockoffs are scary good at looking real in the photos, but once you try to use them it's like they were made by a completely different company with zero quality control. Have you ever tried just sanding down the official worn nibs a little to get more life out of them?

Wait, did they actually send you Wacom brand nibs or some off brand that looked like the real thing? I had a similar thing happen with a different brand of stylus where I bought a three pack of replacement tips and they were way too loose, like they'd fall out if you breathed on them wrong. Ended up just using a tiny piece of tape wrapped around the base to make them fit snug, which is janky but worked for a few months. Honestly it's wild how often the knockoff stuff looks perfect in the photos but turns out to be total garbage once you get it in your hands.

Yeah it's the same scam in every industry now. Cheap garbage pretending to be the real deal.
