That $200 drawing tablet I thought was a scam turned out to be legit
I bought a refurbished XP-Pen tablet off eBay for $200 a few months ago, half expecting it to arrive broken or missing drivers. Figured at that price it had to be junk compared to the Wacom I was using. But after 3 weeks of daily sketching in Clip Studio, I actually prefer the pen pressure and feel. Has anyone else had a surprisingly good experience with a cheaper tablet over a brand-name one?

Yeah, Jackson's got a point there. It's like buying a cheap blender that works great for smoothies but you know the motor's gonna give out right when you need it most. Stuff either lasts or it doesn't, no matter the brand name on the box.

...and honestly? I keep seeing people hype up these budget alternatives like they've discovered some hidden gem, but at the end of the day it's still a $200 tablet. I mean, yeah, it works fine for sketching and stuff, but give it a few more months and see if the drivers hold up or if the pen starts acting funky.

My buddy actually bought one of those $200 tablets a couple months back, swore up and down it was the best thing since sliced bread. I've been on the fence about getting one myself, figured hey maybe he's onto something. But then last week his pen started acting weird, like skipping lines and not registering pressure right. That pretty much sold me on your point man, you get what you pay for with this stuff. I guess I just wanted to believe there was a shortcut to getting a good tablet without dropping real money.
