That art critic at the local coffee shop made me rethink my color choices
I was sketching on my tablet at a cafe in Portland last Tuesday and this older guy glanced over, said my shadows were 'too safe and gray.' He pointed at a piece on my screen and told me to try pushing purple into the dark areas instead. Has anyone else gotten feedback from a random stranger that actually stuck with them?

That purple tip is GENIUS, right? I once had a bus driver in Seattle tell me my landscape photos looked "flat as a pancake" and told me to shoot during golden hour twice, now I plan my whole day around that light.
