That "post every day" push ruined my feed for 6 weeks and I'm just now recovering
My mentor at the studio in Portland kept saying "match the skin tone first, then worry about the mood" and I thought that was boring. I spent 3 months pushing teal shadows and orange highlights on every portrait until a mock client asked why the hands looked like plastic. That feedback hit different, so I stripped it all back and just used a neutral LUT plus a 5 point skin mask. Now I check the forearm and neck before I even touch the sky or background. Has anyone else fought a technical rule only to find out it was the actual shortcut to better work?
