Changed my mind about deleting old photos after visiting my mom's place last Sunday

I was dead set on wiping out every blurry, duplicate, or pointless screenshot from my phone. But then I went to my mom's house and she pulled out this old photo album from 2002. Half the pictures were crooked or had someone blinking, but she laughed at every single one and told stories I had never heard before. It hit me that my 500+ blurry shots of my cat or random sunsets might actually mean something to someone someday. I still deleted the 1,200 obvious junk screenshots I had saved, but I kept all the bad photos. Has anyone else had a change of heart about what counts as clutter?

You ever read that study about how looking at old photos actually lights up the same parts of your brain as being in that moment again? That hit me when I was about to wipe out a whole folder of blurry concert pics from 2017. Left them all there after that, even the ones where my face is half-cut off.

Man, @james_campbell12 that brain study thing explains why I still have 47 photos of my thumb from 2019... guess my brain really misses that blurry thumb.

Same reason I still keep every old receipt in my junk drawer for no good reason.
