My friend called me out on having 50 tabs open at once
Last week my buddy Dave saw my browser with 47 tabs and said 'you look stressed just looking at that.' He was right. I spent 20 minutes closing tabs I forgot about from 3 months ago. Now I use a simple rule - if I open a tab and don't read it within 10 minutes, I bookmark it or close it. Down to under 10 tabs most days now. Has anyone else had a friend or coworker point out a digital habit you didn't notice?

Haha, "you look stressed just looking at that" is exactly what my wife says about my desktop icons. But I gotta ask - when you closed those tabs from three months ago, did you actually remember what any of them were for? Because I swear I have this one tab I'm afraid to close because it might be something important, but I have zero clue what it is anymore. How do you even decide what's worth keeping when you've forgotten the original reason you opened it?

Oh man, that's the worst! I've got a folder called "sort later" with bookmarks from 2018 and I'm too scared to even look in there. Usually I just close the mystery tab and tell myself if it was really important, I'd remember it or someone would email me about it. Hasn't worked great so far, but at least my browser runs a tiny bit faster.

50 tabs isn't a problem, it's a way of life. Closing tabs means admitting you're never going to read all that cool stuff you found, which is basically giving up on your future self's interests. Keep the tabs, embrace the chaos, and let Dave mind his own browser.
