Unfollowing 47 people yesterday felt weirdly freeing
I spent 6 months curating this Instagram list of hiking accounts but noticed I was just scrolling past most posts without really looking. Turns out I was only actually engaging with like 8 of them regularly. Has anyone else found that unfollowing a bunch at once helps you see the stuff you actually care about?

Unfollowing in batches makes you realize how much digital clutter you were carrying around.

lol yeah it's wild how much we just accumulate without thinking. I remember reading somewhere that our brains treat unfollowing like decluttering a physical space, and doing it all at once actually helps you let go easier. There's something satisfying about seeing that number drop from 300 to 50 in one sitting.

Realized something similar when I cleaned out my bookmarks folder last week. Had something like 200 saved links but could only remember why I saved a handful of them. Unfollowing in batches works better for me than doing one at a time because you see the weight of it all at once. Just helps your brain reset what you actually pay attention to.
