Watch out for those old photo backup sites you forgot about
I was cleaning up my Google Drive last week and found a login for a photo backup site I used back in 2017. Turns out they still had 200+ pictures of mine stored with my old email attached. Has anyone else checked their old accounts from places like Photobucket or Shutterfly?

My Photobucket from 2008 still had my high school graduation pics up, password still the same. The scary part is those sites sell your data or get hacked and nobody thinks about it. Did you change your passwords after you deleted your stuff?

My buddy Mike found his 2011 wedding pics still up on some old Kodak site last month.

Oh man, that's a good reminder! I went through a similar thing last year and honestly it freaked me out too. What worked for me was just going through my old email inbox and searching for keywords like "photo" and "backup" and "album" to find all those old accounts I forgot about. Then I logged into each one, downloaded whatever I wanted to keep, and deleted everything else including my account when possible. The trickiest part was some sites made it super hard to actually delete your data, so I had to change my email and password to random junk before closing the account. It was a pain but way better than having my old vacation pics floating around forever.
