Hit 100 homemade dinners in a row last night and it kinda threw me
I realized after plating my spaghetti bolognese that I haven't ordered takeout or gone out to eat in 100 straight days, just cooking from scratch every night. It started because I was broke after holiday spending, but now I actually look forward to figuring out what to make with whatever's in the fridge. Has anyone else stumbled into a cooking streak like that and did it change how you plan meals?

Does that running list thing really work for you long term? It feels like it'd just lead to a lot of weird combos and sad meals. I'd rather take the 5 minutes to plan out a few days than riff on whatever's turning brown in the crisper.

Wait, you're telling me you don't want to eat a random stir fry made from one sad carrot and half an onion just because it's Tuesday? Where's your sense of adventure? Honestly, I respect the planning approach, but my version of meal prep is just aggressively staring into the fridge until something looks less pathetic than the rest. It's less about weird combos and more about accepting that sometimes "dinner" is really just a pile of roasted whatever with hot sauce on it. But hey, if you wanna be all organized and eat actual balanced meals, you do you.

Oh wow, 100 days is no joke, that's actually impressive lol. I got into a similar groove last summer when I was trying to save up for a trip and it totally flipped how I see meal planning. Now I keep a running list on my phone of what ingredients I have left and just riff off that instead of stressing over fancy recipes. It's kinda freeing not to feel like you gotta run to the store for one missing thing you know?
