That jarred garlic trick blew my mind
I watched a video last night where a chef said most people use way too much jarred garlic because it's weaker than fresh, and I'd been dumping like 3 teaspoons into my pasta sauce for years. They said the real ratio is 1 teaspoon of jarred stuff equals like 1 clove of fresh, so I've been overdoing it by triple the amount. Am I the only one who never knew this conversion thing existed?

And honestly, the jarred stuff gets even weaker the longer it sits open in your fridge, so that conversion keeps changing every couple weeks. I actually started using a tiny pinch of garlic powder alongside the jarred stuff to bring back some bite without dumping in a whole extra spoonful. Just a small tip that saved me from garlic-bombing my food even more.

Wait @the_wren, am I the only one who's ever tried garlic powder and thought, "this is just crushed-up regrets"?
