Batch prepped onions once and it saved me 20 minutes every night for a week
I used to chop onions fresh every single night for dinner. Took forever and left my cutting board a mess. Last Sunday I diced a whole bag of them and threw them in a container in the fridge. By Thursday I was pulling that container out and dumping onions straight into the pan. No tears, no cleanup, just dinner done faster. Has anyone else tried prepping a bunch of veggies ahead of time like that or does it go bad too quick for you?

Last Sunday I did the same with bell peppers and mushrooms alongside the onions, and by Friday they were still totally fine for stir fry. I think the trick is patting them dry with paper towels before sealing the container so they don't get slimy. Idk about keeping them much past a week though, the texture starts getting a little off for raw use.

Oh man, are we really this worried about a few chopped onions going bad? @the_lucas, patting them dry sounds like a lot of extra effort for something that'll be cooked anyway. I feel like people overthink prep work and stress about stuff that's totally fine for a stir fry a week later.
