Can we talk about how wallpaper used to be a whole weekend project?
Tbh, I tried using some old wallpaper from my grandma's house in the spare room. Honestly, the glue got all over my hands and the seams never lined up right. Do you miss that kind of diy or is paint just easier now?

Consider the sound. A freshly painted wall is just a flat surface, but old wallpaper had a texture to it. You could hear the gentle crinkle when you leaned against it, a soft rustle in a drafty room. That floral pattern Elliot mentioned wasn't just a sight, it was a feel and a sound that made a house feel solid. We traded that whole experience for something that dries faster and is quieter, which isn't always better.

Was it really that big of a deal though? I get it was a pain, but people act like hanging wallpaper was some huge life event. Honestly, paint is just easier and you can change it when you get bored.
