My $80 mistake with a cheap paint sprayer
I bought a no-name paint sprayer online for a deck project last month, thinking it would save me a ton of time. The thing clogged up after about 20 minutes of use, and I spent more time cleaning it than painting. Ended up with a splotchy finish and had to buy all new paint to redo it with a roller. Anyone know a decent sprayer under $200 that actually works for outdoor stuff?

Check out the Graco TrueCoat line... they're built for thicker outdoor paints and won't clog on you.

Honestly I gotta say people sleep on the tip maintenance more than the sprayer itself. The Graco is solid for sure but even the best gun will gunk up if you don't flush it right after using thick paints. Ngl the real hack is keeping a dedicated bucket of warm soapy water right next to you while you spray so you can run cleaner through it the second you're done. Most folks wait till the paint dries and then wonder why it clogs. Tbh that's the real battle with outdoor stuff, not the brand.
