PSA: I used to cut all my trim with a miter box and a hand saw.

It took forever and the cuts were never perfect. I finally got a basic 10-inch miter saw last fall and it changed the whole game for baseboards. What's the one tool you held out on buying that made a huge difference?

My old cordless drill. The battery died every ten minutes. Bought a mid-range brushless model last year. The constant power is a game changer for building shelves. Should have done it five years ago.

My dad's had the same basic drill for like 15 years and it still works fine for hanging pictures. How many shelves are you building that it's a total game changer?

My first house had all these weird angles, and I fought with a miter saw for weeks. I actually went back to a sharp hand saw and a good quality miter box for the final cuts. The control was better for those off numbers the saw just couldn't hit right.
