That time my basement wall started weeping in the middle of a Michigan winter
I was down there last February trying to organize some old tools when I noticed a damp patch spreading on the cinder block. It wasn't a full leak, just this slow, cold seep that had started from a new hairline crack. I ended up renting a dehumidifier from the local hardware store for a week, cleaned the area with a wire brush, and patched it with hydraulic cement. Has anyone else had luck with a different fix for minor foundation moisture?

Oh man, tell me about it! I had to help my buddy move a couch out of his basement last winter and my fingers went numb in like five minutes. We could see our breath the whole time, and the concrete floor felt like a block of ice through your shoes. It was so cold down there that the metal legs of the couch stuck to my skin for a second. Never again, I'll wait for spring next time.
