Worst week in the crawlspace I ever had
Last July I spent four days under a 100 year old house in Portland, dealing with a leaking pipe that had been dripping for months. The dirt was all wet mud, I hit my head on a floor joist like 6 times, and a dead rat was wedged in the insulation. After about 48 hours of that I started dreaming about standing up straight in a clean, dry room. Has anyone else had a job go so bad you started questioning your life choices?

Last July I spent 3 weeks in a perfectly clean, dry crawlspace on a new build and nearly lost my mind from boredom and isolation. Honestly, mud and dead rats sound way more memorable than staring at pristine plywood all day.

The rat in the insulation is actually a moisture problem warning. If that pipe leaked long enough to rot the rat, you probably got mold spores in your lungs for days. Might want to get a checkup.
