My desk doodle of a coffee cup ended up saving me from a boring meeting
So last Tuesday I was in this meeting that just dragged on forever and I started sketching this little coffee cup on my notepad. I drew steam coming out of it and then added little eyes and a smiley face. Then our manager asked for my opinion on something and I actually had the idea right there because my brain wasn't zoning out completely. Has anyone else had a dumb desk doodle turn into something useful?

Heard somewhere that doodling keeps your brain engaged enough to actually remember things better.

Oh for real, doodling is lowkey a lifesaver in those zombie meetings. @william_torres is totally right about it keeping your brain from totally checking out... I've had some of my best random ideas pop up just from zoning out and drawing little squiggles. That coffee cup doodle ended up being your meeting MVP, that's pretty funny honestly.
