Spent $35 on a good quality sketchbook and it totally changed my doodle game

I used to just grab whatever random scrap paper or notebook margins I could find for my desk doodles. But last month I finally put down 35 bucks on a proper sketchbook with thicker paper that doesn't bleed through. It's crazy how having a dedicated space made me actually try harder on my little drawings instead of rushing through them. The pages lay flat too so I can draw across both sides without fighting the spine. Has anyone else noticed a big difference after upgrading their paper or tools?

Never really thought about it that way but yeah, same thing happened to me with my kitchen knives. Got a halfway decent chef's knife and suddenly I actually wanted to cook instead of just throwing stuff together. It's funny how spending a little more on one good thing makes you put in more effort everywhere else.

Honestly, isn't it wild how that works? Tbh I had the same thing with my cheap art supplies. I bought a nicer set of watercolors and suddenly I'm not just slapping color down but actually thinking about layers and mixing. It's like the tool itself makes you slow down and care more. Plus the paper not warping saved me from getting mad and tossing it halfway through.
