Stopped by a hardware store in Knoxville and noticed something odd about the duct tape section

I was in Ace Hardware yesterday grabbing some plumbing tape, and I spotted three different brands of duct tape that all claim to be 'the strongest' on their packages. One of them was $2.50 more than the others, but the specs looked almost identical. Has anyone else noticed this kind of label inflation, or did I just get unlucky with that store?

Haha right? It's like the "world's best coffee" aisle all over again. I bet the $2.50 extra is just for the fancy name, not for sticking power.

Did you check the fine print on the packages? Sometimes "strongest" means it holds the most weight before peeling off, but another brand might be testing that on different materials entirely.
