A simple garden bed project led to an unexpected moral question
I was putting in a raised garden bed last spring and hit a layer of concrete chunks. At first, I thought it was just old debris, but then I found pieces of pottery mixed in. I learned it might be from an old dump site or even historical. My hack was to use a sifter to separate the soil and save the artifacts. The ethical part was deciding whether to report it to local historians or just toss it all to avoid delays. I ended up calling the historical society, and they were grateful, but it set my project back weeks. In the end, knowing I did the right thing felt better than finishing on time.

My younger self would've tossed it, but now I get why you called.

Honestly @violaj72, getting older is just realizing all the stuff we used to roll our eyes at was actually right. We were all way too cool for school back then. Now we're just sitting here cringing at our past selves while finally understanding the assignment. It's a whole vibe and not a great one.

Wait you were actually "way too cool for school"? I am shocked. I was just a tired kid who liked bad music and never slept enough. The idea that any of us had that kind of energy to be cool is wild to me. I guess I missed that memo completely.
