Finally tried brush-on polyurethane instead of spray and won't go back

I've been using spray cans for all my furniture projects for years. Last week I had to refinish a pine nightstand and decided to try a can of Minwax brush-on satin poly. Took maybe 10 minutes more time total but zero overspray, no fog in the garage, and the finish is actually smoother. The brush strokes leveled out on their own. Anyone else make the switch and stick with it?

the brush strokes melted away way better than I expected" - man, that's exactly what got me too. I thought I'd be sanding for days. Feels good to be wrong about this one, right?

Man this is exactly what happened to me a few months back with a bookshelf I was building. I was dead set on spray cans because I thought brush-on would leave horrible streaks and take forever to dry. Finally gave it a shot out of necessity and yeah the brush strokes melted away way better than I expected. The lack of overspray alone is worth it since I don't have to mask off half my driveway anymore. Have you noticed it seems to hold up better against scratches too or is that just me?

Oh man, same thing happened to me. The brush-on just works better.
