My basement floor drain backed up during a rainstorm and flooded my new workshop area.
It happened last Tuesday when we got that heavy rain in Cleveland, and I had just laid down some plywood for a workbench base. I spent the whole night with a wet vac trying to save my tools and keep the water from getting into the drywall. What's the best way to seal a concrete floor drain to stop this from happening again?

Tbh that sounds like a nightmare, sorry man. When you say it backed up, was it actually pushing water up and out of the drain itself, or was it more like water was coming in from around the edges of the floor?

Oh, pushing water up from the drain. So it was a true, honest-to-goodness fountain. Just what you want in a basement.
