My bathroom tile grout disaster turned into a decent save
I was redoing the grout in my master bath shower last weekend and totally botched the mix, making it way too thin. It started oozing out between the tiles in my Atlanta house, and I panicked thinking I'd ruined the whole job. I grabbed a stiff plastic putty knife and scraped out the wet mess before it set, then remixed a new batch with exactly 3 cups of water like the bag said. Has anyone else had a grout mix go wrong and found a good way to fix it fast?

Oh man, watery grout is the worst. Looks like a tile crime scene. Been there, scraped that. My first time I basically made gray soup. Had to chip it out after it dried. That was a long day. Your plastic knife move was smart.

Tossed my first batch of grout right in the trash. Looked like I was trying to make cement-based yogurt. Had to scrape it off the bucket sides with a putty knife after it hardened up over night. Plastic knife beats that any day.
