TIL my basement floor drain was clogged with a tennis ball
I was at my buddy's house last Saturday helping him fix his sink, and he mentioned his floor drain was slow. I told him mine has always been fine. Then I got home and my basement had an inch of water from the washing machine backup. I pulled the grate off the drain and a kid's tennis ball was wedged in there from 3 years ago. Has anyone else found random junk in their floor drains causing problems?

Hold on, you're acting like a flooded basement is a total catastrophe. You found the problem and it was a tennis ball. Just pull it out, dry the floor with a mop and a fan, and move on. Are people really letting a little water ruin their whole week?

Honestly Victor, you're not wrong at all, but I gotta say - if my basement flooded because of a tennis ball, I'd probably still lose my mind for a solid hour before I remembered mops exist. Ngl, I once cried over a spilled glass of milk, so a wet floor might actually break me. Tbh, I think some of us just look for drama to make our week feel exciting. @victor_jones99 you're the voice of reason we all needed but didn't deserve.
