Took me 12 years to figure out I was loading my paint roller the wrong way

I watched a YouTube short of a guy barely dipping his roller in the tray and getting way better coverage with zero drips, and now I feel stupid about every ceiling I painted before that.

Oh man, don't feel too bad, I did the same thing for years. The trick is to barely get paint on the roller, not soak it all the way through. But you also gotta make sure the roller is fully saturated before you start, like really roll it in the tray until it's wet all over, then squeeze out the extra. I learned that from a pro painter who said it saves paint and gives a smoother finish without all those drips and slings.

Doesn't it seem like most things in life are like that though? Get just enough of something but not too much, and you end up saving yourself a whole lot of mess and headache.
