Wasted $150 on a fancy paint sprayer for one room
I bought a Graco sprayer thinking it would speed up painting my living room. Spent 3 hours setting it up, masking everything, and cleaning all the tips. Got one coat done and the thing clogged so bad I had to take it apart. Ended up rolling the whole room with a $10 roller and it looked better anyway. Has anyone else gotten burned by a tool that was supposed to save time?

Got a similar deal with a power washer last summer. Bought one of those electric ones with the fancy nozzles thinking I'd blast through cleaning the deck and driveway in an afternoon. Ended up spending 45 minutes fighting with a clogged soap dispenser and the hose kinked so bad it snapped. Dragged out the old garden hose with a spray nozzle and finished everything in half the time with better results. That machine is still sitting in my garage collecting dust two years later.

Wait, are you sure it was a power washer and not a pressure washer? They're different machines with different water pressures...

Sarah over there with her power washer story is basically my paint sprayer twin. I spent a solid 20 minutes just trying to get the spray pattern right and ended up with more paint on my drop cloths than the walls. My cheap roller tray and a decent brush beat the Graco by a mile. That thing is now a $150 paperweight propping up a wobbly shelf in my garage.
