Wasted $80 on a fancy paint sprayer, shoulda just rented one
Bought a Wagner sprayer 3 years ago thinking I was gonna save time painting my living room ceiling. First use it clogged up after 20 minutes and I spent more time cleaning it than actually spraying. Finally tossed it last week and rented a Graco from Home Depot for $45 a day. That thing worked perfect. Anyone else learn the hard way that buying cheap tools is usually a mistake?

Renting is the way to go for most one-time projects, learned that after buying a cheap tile saw.

...and that tile saw probably cost you enough in frustration that you could've rented a good one twice over. I did the same thing with a pressure washer, bought a cheap one and it died halfway through cleaning the deck.

My buddy Mike bought the same cheap sprayer and tried to do his fence with it... ended up with paint all over his driveway and the neighbor's cat. He said it took him like 4 hours just to get the paint out of his own hair. Finally rented one from Sunbelt a week later and got the whole fence done in an afternoon.
