Tried to freehand a perfect circle for a site plan and it looked like a potato
Honestly, I was rushing a quick sketch for a client in Phoenix and thought I could nail a 50-foot radius circle without my template. Ngl, it came out so lopsided the boss said it looked like a potato farm layout. Learned my lesson to always grab the tools, even for 'simple' stuff. Anyone else have a go-to trick for sketching clean circles fast?

Ever try the string and pencil compass trick? I keep a piece of string in my sketchbook for exactly that. It's not perfect but it beats a lopsided potato every time.

Ever notice how we skip the basics when we're in a hurry, then waste more time fixing it later?

It's just a sketch for a site plan, not a final drawing. Clients usually get the idea from a rough shape anyway. Spending extra time on a perfect circle in the field seems like overkill to me.
