Why does nobody talk about how layer heights mess with thread pitch in 3D printed parts?
I was drafting a custom bolt for a jig last Tuesday and the threads kept binding until I realized my 0.2mm layer height was adding a hidden 0.1mm offset - has anyone else fought with this?

Last Tuesday I spent three hours trying to figure out why my M6 bolt was acting like a knurled knob until I realized my Prusa slicer was sneaking in a 0.04mm first layer height. I felt like an absolute idiot when I finally checked the g-code and saw the start G-code was overriding my settings. Now I just print all my threads at 0.12mm layer height and cross my fingers. It's like printing hardware with a built-in secret handshake nobody warned you about.

Nah, 0.12mm layers are fine for most stuff though...

Wait, @victor_jones99, you're telling me that G-code actually did that?!
