Honestly, just spent 3 days clearing a single jammed cutterhead chain on the old Erie Sand & Gravel barge. Thought it was a two hour job.

Fiona's right about the torch, that's a lifesaver. I've been there with a frozen conveyor roller that took a whole shift just to break free. What looks simple from the outside always turns into a wrestling match with rust and old grease. You start thinking about lunch and end up ordering dinner to the dock. Those jobs really teach you to never trust a time estimate.

Nah, sometimes you just gotta know when to walk away. A three day fight means something else was wrong from the start, maybe a bent guide or a sprocket issue nobody spotted. Calling in a second set of eyes after the first day could have saved you two more. Stubbornness costs more hours than any rusty chain.
