I finally got that old cutterhead unstuck after a week of trying everything
It was just a single sheared pin on the main drive shaft, but diagnosing it meant pulling apart the whole assembly on the barge. Anyone have a trick for spotting that faster next time?

Ugh, that's the WORST kind of find. Been there. Honestly, for a sheared pin like that, I've started just hitting the shaft with a dead-blow hammer right at the start. If there's ANY weird play or a dull thunk instead of a solid ring, you know something's sheared inside before you tear it all down. Saves a ton of headache.

Worst kind of find" seems a bit strong, doesn't it? @bennett.vera I get the frustration, but sometimes that dull thunk is just old grease. It's not always a disaster.
