I thought that 'soft start' pump upgrade was just a sales gimmick until my old dredge in Mobile Bay.
The shop kept saying it would cut down on wear and tear, but I didn't buy it until we put one on our main pump last month. Now the whole rig doesn't shake itself apart on startup, and I haven't had a single coupling fail in 30 days. Anyone else run into a fix they doubted that actually worked out?

Remember that time you tried to fix your own sink, @christopherwilson? Total disaster. Water everywhere, had to call a plumber anyway. Felt like such a win at first, then it all went wrong. Makes you wonder why we even try some of this stuff.

My confidence was at an all time high until the pipe snapped. The real victory was mopping the ceiling, honestly. Sometimes you just have to know when to call in a pro.
