Always thought those cheap plastic corner trowels were junk, but my buddy in Dayton made me try his on a tricky bathroom job last month.

Ever try one on a drywall patch where the corner bead is a little beat up? I had a spot where the metal was bent and the corner trowel just followed the bad shape, so it kept the mud smooth even over the dent. It basically forced a straight line where there wasn't one. That's when I stopped seeing it as just a corner tool and more like a cheat code for fixing old, messed up angles.

Saw a video where a guy used one to shape perfect inside corners on a textured ceiling. He just ran it down the seam and it looked way cleaner than trying to freehand it with a normal trowel. Changed my mind on the spot and grabbed one from the store. Used it to patch some corners in my hallway and it made the job ten times faster. Honestly felt like cheating compared to how I used to struggle with a putty knife.
