Appreciation post: The pizza box drywall patch I'll never forget

He had a hole about the size of a dinner plate. Instead of buying a patch, he used an old pizza box and some joint compound. It looked ridiculous, but it's been holding for months now.

Months isn't really that long for a repair.

Totally agree, months fly by when you're waiting on one part. My neighbor's deck repair sat for like three months just waiting for the right treated lumber to show up. Another time my car needed a specific sensor and the shop said it was on a boat from overseas. You just get used to checking the mailbox for updates that never come.

Waiting months for a fix is tough, especially when you're stuck without it. I've seen jobs get delayed by parts backorders or permit issues, which drags things out. It's frustrating when you just want things done, lol. Hang in there, it'll get sorted eventually.
