My garage drywall job has these weird bubbles after mudding, what did I do wrong?
I mean, I followed all the steps but now it looks lumpy, idk maybe it's just me but any advice?

Sand down the bubbly spots until they're flat, then apply a new coat of mud. I've found that using a thicker mix and really working it into the wall helps avoid air pockets. Let each layer dry completely before adding more, or you'll trap moisture. It's a pain, but fixable lol.

Looks like your drywall decided to get creative and add some texture for you. Classic case of either mixing the mud too thin, trapping air underneath, or not letting a coat dry fully before adding more. Been there, it's frustrating. You'll probably need to sand those bubbles flat and apply a new, thicker coat. Make sure you're really pressing the knife down to squeeze out any air pockets next time.

Yeah, my drywall definitely got "creative" on my last project. I ended up with so many bubbles it looked like a bad popcorn ceiling. Turns out I was mixing the mud like a weak pancake batter and rushing the coats. Had to sand the whole wall smooth again, which just made a huge dusty mess. Lesson learned the hard way.
