Spent $180 on a drywall lift and it paid for itself in one day
I was always fighting those 12-foot ceiling boards by myself, wobbling on stilts with a T-brace. Finally broke down and got a panel lift from the rental place, cost me 180 bucks for the weekend. Has anyone else found that the lift saves more time than you expected, or do you still prefer to hand-bang it?

Spent more time falling off stilts than I did actually hanging drywall before I got one.

The trick is you gotta set them up right before you even step on. If you're spending more time falling, your stilts are probably too loose or your straps aren't snug enough.

Used to think it was just a crutch for guys who couldn't balance right, but I borrowed one for a basement ceiling and now I get the hype. Saves way more time than I expected, especially when you're working alone and don't got a helper to hold the other end. Changed my mind completely, those things are worth every penny for the headache they save.
