TIL drywall dust can stay in the air for up to 4 days
I was reading a safety sheet from the Hilti rep last Friday and it said the fine particles from sanding can hang around that long if you don't have good air flow. That explains why my garage still felt gritty days after a big job. Do you guys run air scrubbers the whole time you're working or just at the end?

Air scrubbers are a huge waste of money for small jobs in my experience.

Actually depends on the small job though. If there's any kind of dust or smell you're trying to contain, even a cheap box fan with a filter taped to it makes a huge difference. Calling them a total waste is a bit much.

Wow, my buddy learned that the hard way. He sanded a whole ceiling without one and his whole house smelled like a construction site for a week. Now he rents a scrubber for any drywall work, period.
